Job summary

Imagine Pediatrics, a tech-enabled pediatric group, seeks a Senior Platform Engineer to help build a reliable, scalable care platform. You’ll partner with Product Engineering and QA to define the next chapter of infrastructure and support secure, cloud-based services.

You will own AWS networking, CI/CD, observability, incident response, and runbooks, focusing on performance, cost, and high availability while collaborating across teams to meet patient care goals.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Strong AWS skills including VPC, EC2, IAM, Route 53, and more.
• Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi, or CDK).
• Experience scripting in Python, Bash, or Go.
• Solid understanding of cloud networking and TLS termination.
• Experience analyzing logs from NIDS, firewalls, and load balancers.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure AWS infrastructure (Terraform, CDK).
• Own networking architecture: VPCs, routing, subnets, VPNs.
• Configure firewall rules, security groups, private networking, edge services.
• Set up containerized environments (ECS, EKS, Fargate).
• Lead observability implementation: metrics, logs, tracing.
• Integrate system logs into SIEM in collaboration with Security Engineer.
• Build and manage CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD).
• Collaborate on incident detection and remediation.
• Develop and document runbooks for on-call and platform issues.
• Optimize for performance, cost, and high availability.
• Respond to platform reliability issues and lead postmortems.
• Responding to RFPs and customer questions related to network setup and infrastructure

What You’ll Do

As a Senior Platform Engineer at Imagine Pediatrics, you will be instrumental in empowering our organization to deliver a seamless, reliable, scalable care platform. You will partner with stakeholders on Product Engineering and QA to define and implement the next chapter of Imagine Pediatrics' technical infrastructure. You will:

• Design and build secure-by-default AWS infrastructure (Terraform, CDK)


• Own networking architecture: VPCs, routing, subnets, VPNs, DNS, NAT gateways


• Configure firewall rules, security groups, private networking, edge services


• Set up and support containerized environments (ECS, EKS, Fargate)


• Lead observability implementation: metrics, logs, tracing

What You Bring & How You Qualify

First and foremost, you’re passionate and committed to reimagining pediatric health care and creating a world where every child with complex medical conditions gets the care and support they deserve.

• 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering


• Strong AWS skills (VPC, EC2, IAM, Route 53, KMS, Transit Gateway, etc.)


• Infrastructure as code expertise (Terraform, Pulumi, or CDK)


• Scripting ability (Python, Bash, or Go)


• Deep understanding of cloud networking and TLS termination


• Comfortable interpreting logs from NIDS, firewalls, load balancers, etc.


• Bonus: Familiarity with tools like Zscaler, JAMF, Microsoft Entra

What We Offer (Benefits + Perks)

The role offers a base salary range of $160,000 - $180,000 in addition to annual bonus incentive, competitive company benefits package and eligibility to participate in an employee equity purchase program (as applicable). When determining compensation, we analyze and carefully consider several factors including job-related knowledge, skills and experience. These considerations may cause your compensation to vary.
