Senior Platform Engineer

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Platform engineer to help us develop, build, and deploy full stack systems for our customer's advanced collection systems. You will help shape and design future systems, focusing on continuous improvement of our products and tools. Note: This position requires being in-office 100%, located in Sterling VA.

Responsibilities:
  1. Build and deploy physical and virtualized systems to customer locations
  2. Provide continuous integration support for deployed systems
  3. Integrate third-party software into our systems
  4. Manage Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) at platform and application layers
  5. Design next-generation systems and assist in migration from RHEL7 to RHEL8
  6. Maintain local systems to mirror deployed customer systems
  7. Assist developers with building and installing RPMs and containers
Qualifications:
Required:
  • Ability to work independently and in teams
  • Strong interpersonal skills for team building and customer interfacing
  • 10+ years in Systems Administration, DevOps, or Platform Engineering
  • Innovative system design ideas
  • Strong Linux administration skills, including package management, security, kickstart, virtualization
  • Experience with IaC for system configuration
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering fields or equivalent experience
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with SCI eligibility
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification (Security+ CE or better)
Desired:
  • Experience with Agile frameworks
  • Building and deploying Docker/Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with Cisco IOS/NXOS
  • Building RPMs within RedHat architecture
  • Familiarity with Git and Puppet
  • Active TS/SCI clearance

Pay Range
