Job summary

ServiceNow is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Core Cryptography, to design and build secure cryptographic services for a large-scale multi-tenant SaaS platform. You will apply security-first thinking and leverage ML/AI techniques to strengthen detection of misuse and anomalies.

You will collaborate with product owners, security architects, and engineering teams, operate services on Kubernetes, and write secure code by default.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience in production systems.
• Experience with Java or Go and OO design patterns at scale.
• Familiar with distributed systems and Kubernetes in SaaS environments.
• Knowledge of cryptography primitives and secure coding practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain secure cryptographic services (PKI, key management, secrets) for a large SaaS platform.
• Operate services on Kubernetes in a multi-tenant environment with reliability and security.
• Apply ML/AI techniques to detect misuse and anomalies in cryptographic workflows.
• Collaborate with product owners and security teams to translate requirements into code.
