Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is hiring a Platform Automation Engineer for a 100% remote role within the United States. The position requires 6+ years of hands-on Terraform-centric cloud infrastructure experience and involves designing modular Terraform code across cloud accounts.

You will drive automation pipelines, enforce policy-as-code, manage state at scale, and mentor teams while collaborating with security and platform groups.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure or DevOps with Terraform focus.
• Production Terraform across at least one major cloud provider.
• Strong experience designing reusable Terraform modules with APIs and version discipline.
• Scripting skills in Python, Go, or Bash.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure code and automated policy enforcement.
• Solid understanding of cloud networking, identity, and security primitives.
• Git-based workflows including code review, branching, and release management.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain modular Terraform code across cloud accounts and environments.
• Build reusable Terraform modules with clear interfaces and documentation.
• Implement Terraform automation pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Atlantis, Terraform Cloud, or Spacelift.
• Define and enforce policy-as-code to prevent insecure or non-compliant changes.
• Manage Terraform state at scale with backends, state locking, and workspace organization.
• Drive multi-account, multi-region, and multi-cloud provisioning with clear standards.
• Implement infrastructure testing with Terraform compliance and Terratest.
• Collaborate with security, networking, and platform teams to embed guardrails.
• Mentor teams on Terraform best practices and PR review standards.
• Maintain runbooks and architecture diagrams for the infrastructure platform.
