Job summary

Stellarus Technology seeks a Principal, Application Architecture to shape platform direction for payer operations and partner workflows. You will own architecture decisions for major capabilities, guide cross-domain initiatives, and stay close to code to ensure credible technical direction.

You will lead build-vs-buy, integration consolidation, and modernization, while mentoring engineers and influencing senior stakeholders. This role emphasizes production readiness and secure, scalable systems.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering or architecture experience.
• Experience leading architecture for distributed, cloud-native platforms.
• Hands-on engineering background guiding service design, API contracts, and data modeling.
• Deep experience with domain-driven design, service decomposition, and reusable platform patterns.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and translate strategy into execution standards.
• Experience with microservices and event-driven architectures in cloud environments.
• Healthcare, payer, pharma, or SOC 2/HIPAA familiarity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture decisions for major platform capabilities and cross-domain initiatives.
• Drive build-vs-buy, integration consolidation, and modernization decisions.
• Translate platform strategy into clear architecture direction for engineering teams.
• Collaborate with product and engineering to enable payer, provider, pharma workflows.
• Mentor engineers, architects, and technical leads to raise technical bar.
