Job summary

Celldex in Hampton, New Jersey is seeking to hire the first engineering employee for a new commercial insights platform. You will make architectural decisions, stand up infrastructure, build backend services, and own deployment, security, and release.

You will collaborate with the Director of Commercial Data Science, a Senior Data Scientist, and a Design Engineer to productionize the AI layer, ensure observability, and control costs as the platform scales in a fast-moving business environment.

Qualifications

• BS in CS or related with 8+ years building and shipping production web apps.
• MS or PhD with 5+ years building and shipping production web apps and architecture ownership.
• Experience taking a substantial system from nothing to live and operating it over time.

Responsibilities

• Make foundational architecture decisions and own deployment, hosting, and security.
• Build backend services exposing governed data and summaries to the frontend.
• Own the cloud environment, cost, monitoring, and security compliance.
• Productionize the AI layer and run AI-assisted development with reliable, observable systems.
