Job summary

CB&I Storage Solutions in The Woodlands, TX seeks a Senior Plate Structures Engineer to lead design and analysis of tanks, vessels, modules and foundations for industrial structures. You will produce deliverables per codes, review calculations, and mentor junior engineers while coordinating with project teams.

The role requires a PE license (Structural SE strongly preferred) and 5–10 years in industrial structures; familiarity with API 650/620 and ASME VIII is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in structural, civil, or mechanical engineering.
• PE license required (Structural SE strongly preferred; Civil and Mechanical PE accepted).
• 5–10 years of design experience in structures with a focus on industrial or heavy industry structures.

Responsibilities

• Accurately produce assigned deliverables per applicable design code, company standards and customer drawings.
• Adhere to regulations and bylaws of local professional engineering jurisdictions and code of ethics.
• Ensure designs and details are safe for field erection and use, with constructability in mind.
• Check and sign off on design calculations, specifications and other deliverables per project requirements.
• Coordinate with other roles and functions on the project team.
• Forecast task duration and commit to deadlines.
• Mentor junior engineers and transfer knowledge.
• Make decisions on project-specific details and advise the team.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Structural, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering

Professional Engineer (PE) license
