Job summary

Anduril Industries in Santa Ana, CA, is seeking an experienced Precision Metal Former/Plate Roller to join the Maritime Manufacturing Technology Team. You will fabricate high‑quality parts in a cutting‑edge production system and build assemblies to support the production floor.

You will read drawings, set up CNC plate rollers, hydraulic presses, and validate tolerances. This role requires hands‑on leadership and collaboration with engineering to advance maritime manufacturing.

Qualifications

• 10-15+ years of metal forming experience.
• Proven plate rolling setup for cylinders, cones, and curved shapes.
• Extensive experience with hydraulic press brakes.
• Familiarity with alloys and material properties.
• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Proficient with precision measuring tools.
• Demonstrates ownership from start to finish.
• Ability to move between R&D fabrication and production.
• Able to assist with production assembly integration tasks.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Eligible for a U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret technical drawings and CAD models.
• Program, set up, and operate plate rollers, hydraulic presses, and shears.
• Design and implement work holding and fixture methods.
• Serve as SME on rolling/forming of pressure vessels and alloys.
• Troubleshoot and adjust during manufacturing.
• Perform in-process and final quality control.
• Lead organization, machine maintenance, and cleanliness.
• Collaborate with Quality and Engineering on safety procedures.
• Mentor fabrication team on rolling, forming, contouring, and safe handling.
