Job summary

PVS Chemicals, Inc. is seeking a Plant Foreman in Portage, IN to oversee daily manufacturing operations and lead a team of hourly staff. The role emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, and production efficiency in an industrial chemical setting.

The position reports to the Plant Manager and acts as Plant Manager when needed, guiding environmental, HR, maintenance, and operational activities to meet quality and safety standards and customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safe, environmentally compliant operation of the manufacturing facility.
• Manage life-critical safety permits and on-site contractors.
• Coordinate emergency response and incident reporting.
• Direct staff of hourly employees and ensure achievement of production targets for acid regeneration and iron oxide.
• Plan and execute shift activities to meet customer delivery requirements and regulatory specs.
• Monitor quality control, lab results, and daily production reporting for management review.
• Provide supervision and mentorship, including disciplinary actions per the collective bargaining agreement.
