Job summary

Vogrinc Search Group is seeking a Plant Quality Lead to oversee all quality activities in our automotive manufacturing facility. You will lead and develop the Quality Engineering team, ensure conformance to IATF 16949 and ISO 9001, and drive continuous improvement across operations, engineering, and other functions.

The role focuses on root cause analysis, corrective actions, audits, and preventing defects while partnering with Operations to reduce scrap and optimize processes on the plant floor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field.
• 5+ years of quality experience in automotive manufacturing or supplier environment.
• Minimum 2–3 years of supervisory or direct people-management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, coach, and develop the plant Quality Engineering team.
• Oversee daily quality activities and ensure processes meet customer and internal requirements.
• Maintain and improve the Quality Management System per IATF 16949 and customer requirements.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Oversee APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, and MSA activities.
• Monitor quality metrics (PPM, scrap, rework, cost of poor quality).
• Lead internal, external, and customer audits.
• Partner with Operations and Engineering to drive process improvements.
