Job summary

Axalta, a leader in coatings, seeks a Senior Category Manager (Plant Procurement Americas) at its Glen Mills facility to lead key sourcing initiatives across Capex, MRO, and site materials. You will drive category strategies, manage a sizable annual spend, and mentor a team of Sourcing Specialists in a fast-paced, global business environment.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering, 5+ years in industrial procurement, and strong negotiation and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Mechanical/Chemical Engineering required.
• Minimum 5 years in procurement within an industrial company.
• Fluent spoken and written English; additional languages a plus.
• Experience leading diverse, multi-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage approximately $100M annual spend for the Americas region.
• Lead a team of Sourcing Specialists and collaborate with stakeholders to set category strategy.
• Develop and execute category plans with business units and operations.
• Negotiate and implement supply agreements balancing quality, service, risk, and value.
• Conduct quarterly business reviews with key suppliers to improve performance.
• Identify total cost of ownership improvements for key equipment and improve compliance.
