Job summary

Dairyland Power Cooperative in Alma, WI is seeking a Performance Engineer III to advance plant performance through monitoring, modeling and data analysis. You will develop and maintain programs that improve heat rate and reliability, and support the Alma Site's optimization initiatives.

You will lead cross-functional efforts, build analytical software, and collaborate with fuels, operations and management to drive efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Physical Sciences with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in power plant performance analysis, modeling, and computer applications.
• Proven ability to plan, engineer, and budget projects across departments.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to coordinate teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of strategies to improve plant performance with monitoring programs.
• Develop and maintain analytical software to track and report plant performance.
• Support Fuels Department in evaluating fuels for combustion.
• Maintain Alma Site performance database and report to agencies.
• Coordinate plant testing and establish baseline data for heat rate.
• Provide expertise to operations and troubleshoot as needed.
• Prepare progress reports for projects and present to management.
