Job summary

O&K American Corp in Chicago, IL is seeking an experienced Maintenance/Facilities Manager to lead the plant operations, safety, and continuous improvement.

You will manage a team, oversee 5S, preventive/predictive maintenance, budgets, and regulatory compliance while driving uptime and efficiency.

Requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering or Management, strong leadership, and knowledge of IATF16949; on-site role with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Management required.
• Master’s in Management or Business preferred.
• Several years of manufacturing management experience, preferably wire manufacturing.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Familiarity with IATF16949 standards.
• Proven ability to lead teams and improve processes.
• Excellent computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all manufacturing equipment and property management.
• Direct and lead the plant and equipment strategic organization for success.
• Review operations to minimize unplanned downtime.
• Implement and manage plant maintenance programs (planning/scheduling, preventive/predictive).
• Monitor budgets, labor efficiency, material usage, safety and environmental standards.
• Manage maintenance staff and ensure safety standards.
• Lead plant improvements, shutdowns, expansions, and regulatory compliance.
