Job summary

North Carolina Electric Membership Corporation seeks a Manager – Plant EPC and Jointly Owned Resource (JOR) Construction & Operation to oversee plant EPC and JOR projects through conception to operations. The role supports DER Fleet projects and other NCEMC initiatives with project management and engineering.

The candidate will have a bachelor’s in engineering, an MBA or business minor is desirable, and a PE license is highly valued.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related science is required.
MBA or minor in business and PE license are highly desired.
Experience with power generation/energy projects and emissions control equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with NCEMC leadership, member cooperatives, internal stakeholders, and joint owners to set direction, manage requirements, timelines, budgets.
Establish and manage external partnerships with vendors for design, construction, commissioning, and operation of NCEMC’s generation fleet.
Prepare, negotiate, and manage construction contracts and major equipment supply agreements.
Provide technical engineering and project management support to internal departments and generation plant staff.
Lead stakeholder meetings and develop reports to update NCEMC leadership and advertise capabilities of NCEMC’s fleet.
