Job summary

Biogen in North Carolina is seeking a Senior Plant Engineer II to provide technical support for plant utilities and facility systems across manufacturing, labs, and warehouses. You will troubleshoot, lead commissioning activities, and oversee small engineering projects with contractors.

You will collaborate with Utilities, Manufacturing, Process Engineering, and Maintenance to improve reliability, lead change controls, and ensure validated, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• At least 6 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience supporting manufacturing facilities, plant utilities, or facility equipment systems.
• Experience with equipment commissioning, qualification, or validation activities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Project, and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for plant utility and facility systems.
• Lead or support design, installation, commissioning, and qualification of new equipment.
• Develop user requirements specifications and write and execute commissioning and qualification protocols.
• Support capital and Opex projects, including scoping, reviews, change controls, and validation.
• Manage small engineering projects, schedules, risks, stakeholders, and deliverables with limited direction.
