Job summary

Pella Corporation’s Troy, OH plant seeks a Senior Cost Management Analyst to serve as the on-site finance partner and cost accounting expert, driving visibility into plant performance and strengthening cost controls.

The role collaborates with Plant Leadership, Manufacturing, Engineering, Purchasing, and Corporate FP&A to improve reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, with an emphasis on inventory valuation and variance explanations to sustain productivity improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Operations, or a related field.
• 5+ years of manufacturing finance, cost accounting, and/or plant FP&A experience.
• Experience partnering with operations and driving performance improvement is preferred.

Responsibilities

• FP&A, plant performance, and decision support—partner with manufacturing leaders to analyze costs and profitability and translate results into actions.
• Develop, maintain, and publish dashboards for labor, overhead, yield/waste, and other cost drivers to improve decision-making.
• Own inventory accuracy, reporting, and valuation for the Troy plant and improve related processes.
• Coordinate year-end physical inventory and cycle counts; investigate variances and document root causes.
• Support month-end/quarter-end close activities for plant operations and explain variances to leadership.
• Collaborate on standard cost changes and BOM/routing impacts to ensure cost accuracy.
• Maintain internal controls and audit readiness for plant financial processes.
• Lead quarterly forecasting and annual budgets for plant costs, including labor and overhead.
• Identify cost-reduction opportunities and track progress with Manufacturing, Engineering, Marketing/Brand, and Finance.
• Present financial insights to plant leadership on a regular cadence to drive corrective actions.
