Job summary

Martinrea is seeking a Controller to guide financial decisions, establish internal controls, and oversee all accounting functions for a major plant in Canada. The role involves coordinating audits, preparing budgets, and driving process improvements.

The successful candidate will have a college diploma or accounting degree and at least five years of leadership in a manufacturing finance team, with expertise in AS/400 environments and advanced Excel skills.

Qualifications

• College diploma or University Accounting degree.
• At least 5 years of hands-on leadership in a manufacturing finance department with full responsibility.
• Strong project management skills and leadership of a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage the entire accounting function at the facility including cash, AR, inventory, assets, AP and inter‑company.
• Review monthly reconciliations and ensure compliance with policies.
• Lead annual budget preparation and variance analysis with management.
• Oversee external and internal audits and maintain internal controls.
• Drive continuous improvement in accounting processes and cost management.
