Job summary

The Town of Lantana seeks a seasoned Planning and Zoning Administrator to provide senior guidance across planning, zoning, and redevelopment initiatives. You will advise the Development Services Director, oversee complex reviews, and coordinate drainage, floodplain, and land development matters with engineers and staff.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in a related field, 10+ years in municipal planning, and AICP certification. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Urban and Regional Planning, Public Administration, Geography, Community Development, or closely related field.
• AICP certification is required or strongly preferred.
• Experience in Floodplain management is highly desirable.
• 10+ years of progressively responsible professional planning experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day coordination and administration of Planning and Zoning Division activities.
• Review development applications and building permits for compliance and make final determinations when appropriate.
• Provide technical guidance to Planning, Zoning, Code Enforcement and Building staff.
• Review site plans, variances, rezonings, and other applications for regulatory compliance.
• Prepare staff reports, memoranda, presentations, ordinances, and policy recommendations.
• Coordinate with Palm Beach County, state agencies, and regional planning entities.
