Job summary

The City of Eagle Idaho is seeking a Planner III to perform advanced planning, zoning analysis, and plan review. You will interpret codes, prepare staff reports, and present findings to boards and City Council. This role requires autonomous work and collaboration with multiple departments.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in planning, at least four years of experience, and strong communication skills. The position is on-site with occasional meetings in the evening."

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in planning or planning related field.
• Minimum four (4) years’ planning-related experience.
• Or any combination of education, training, and experience that provides the equivalent.
• Legally authorized to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Provide subject matter expertise to developers on land use and design review for complex projects.
• Research and analyze land use proposals to ensure compliance with City and State codes; prepare staff reports.
• Attend public meetings and deliver oral presentations.
• Prepare findings of fact and conclusions of law on development applications.
• Coordinate with City departments and external agencies on planning projects.
