Qualifications

• Master's degree in urban planning or closely related field preferred.
• 4–6 years of staff experience in municipal planning and/or community development.
• Possession of, or ability to obtain, a California driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review land use entitlement applications for California public agencies.
• Evaluate complex land development proposals (Pre-Applications, General Plan amendments, Text Amendments, etc.).
• Review and advise on Development Agreements and Maintenance Improvement Districts.
• Formulate staff recommendations and conditions for approvals.
• Coordinate with internal and external committees and present findings to Planning Commission and City Council.
• Create maps, exhibits, and presentations using GIS, Adobe Acrobat, PowerPoint and related tools.
