Senior Planner/Planner II

Warren County Regional Planning Commission is seeking to fill a full-time senior-level professional planning position with an individual looking to apply their skills in a dynamic working environment where they will have an opportunity to both craft and implement local plans. The position will be filled as a Planner II or Senior Planner depending on candidate qualifications. Placement in the position and salary range will be based on the skills, experience, training, and education of the person hired.

The ideal candidate is a high-energy individual who has thorough knowledge of, and interest in, land use planning and development and regional planning. The person should be: a collaborative, enthusiastic, positive person who has a sincere customer service attitude, attention to detail, ability to coordinate, develop and maintain cooperative work relationships with staff and public; well organized; computer literate; and, an excellent writer and speaker.

Specific tasks may include, but are not limited to: comprehensive plan and zoning code updates, development review, research and policy recommendations, and development of areas plans.
