Job summary

Claire’s is seeking a Senior Planner, Central Planning in Rosemont, IL to manage the total-company financial planning process across sales, margin, inventory, and OTB.

You will translate targets into actionable guardrails, consolidate plans, identify risks and opportunities, and support the new Central Planning function under leadership.

Ideal candidates have 5–7 years of merchandise/FP&A experience with strong Excel and Oracle planning skills and executive-ready communication abilities.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in merchandise planning, financial planning, or FP&A, preferably with exposure to total company planning.
• Deep retail math fluency (OTB, margin, sell-through) and ability to reconcile plans across multiple categories.
• Strong Excel and planning systems skills; Oracle experience is a plus.
• Executive-ready communication skills; comfortable presenting consolidated, enterprise-level views to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Build framework and governance for the Central Planning function, including planning calendar and process cadence.
• Own the Monthly Plan Review mechanics, consolidating performance into a single enterprise view.
• Translate enterprise targets into department-level guardrails each season.
• Own the Total Company OTB roll-up and reconcile against enterprise targets; flag gaps.
• Collaborate with Category Planners to align plans with guardrails and resolve conflicts with leadership.
• Consolidate category WBR inputs into a coherent total company narrative for leadership.
