Job summary

Freddie Mac is seeking a Senior PKI/Cryptography Engineer to join the Data Protection team within Information Security Engineering. The role covers administration, engineering, and operations for PKI components and cryptographic tools, with an on-call requirement and cross-functional collaboration.

You will help deliver data protection solutions, build relationships with customers and vendors, and contribute to safeguarding Freddie Mac information systems.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years in IT security with SOX control experience.
• 5+ years in PKI and cryptography with encryption experience.
• Knowledge of hashes, symmetric/asymmetric algorithms and signatures.
• Experience with Linux and Windows server building and operations.
• Strong collaboration across IT and business lines to deliver Data Protection services.
• Familiarity with MITRE, CIS CSC, SOX; and NIST, RFCs, IETF guidance.
• Experience with HIPS, firewall rules, secure configurations, and network/Windows commands.
• Proficiency in Python, BASH, PowerShell, and Ansible.

Responsibilities

• Administer, engineer, and operate PKI components and cryptographic tools.
• Develop and deliver Data Protection technical solutions for Freddie Mac.
• Form remediation solutions with internal/external stakeholders and vendors.
• Support ITIL processes like Incident and Problem Management.
