Job summary

Charles Schwab in Phoenix is seeking a Senior PKI Security Engineer to modernize Schwab’s Public Key Infrastructure and strengthen provisioning, renewal, monitoring, and protection of digital certificates. You will apply Cybersecurity, Data Encryption, API, and Technical Troubleshooting skills to automate operations and improve certificate visibility.

Responsibilities include building scalable implementation patterns across security, architecture, and DevOps teams, supporting a 24x7 environment,

Qualifications

6+ years in security/PKI or related technology roles.
Hands-on PKI, Certificate Authorities, TLS/SSL, key management, and trust stores.
Experience using scripting languages to automate operational work (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Java, Bash).
Experience developing or supporting API integrations, automation, monitoring, and workflows in a large enterprise environment.

Responsibilities

Modernize Schwab’s Public Key Infrastructure platform and strengthen provisioning, renewal, monitoring, and protection of digital certificates.
Build automation, integrations, monitoring, and operational controls to improve certificate visibility, platform resilience, and secure onboarding.
