Job summary

Side is seeking an experienced PixiJS Game Developer to own the technical quality, architecture, and performance of our browser-based games. This 3-month freelance engagement is fully remote within Brazil, requiring 40 hours per week and an immediate start within ~2 weeks.

You will ship features, optimize systems, and establish best practices while collaborating with a world‑class game services provider. This role is not for vibe coders; a proven track record is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven track record building and shipping commercial games with PixiJS.
• Experience delivering browser-based HTML5 games.
• Ability to optimize performance and architecture for maintainable code.
• Strong collaboration and version control in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Implement gameplay features, UI systems, animations, audio, and game mechanics.
• Improve code quality, identify technical debt, and establish best practices.
• Work on existing titles previously developed with AI-assisted workflows.
• Ensure a consistent player experience across desktop and mobile devices.
