Job summary

Cincinnatus LLC is seeking a senior image quality evaluator to join a leading AI lab's GenAI team in a part-time W-2 arrangement based in the United States. You will assess high-resolution video and stills at the pixel level, identifying artifacts and ensuring alignment with professional quality standards.

Applicants should have 5+ years in visual evaluation across film, VFX, or photography, and be fluent in English. A 4K monitor and familiarity with AI workflows are preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in high-end visual evaluation across film, VFX, animation, or professional photography.
• Direct experience in at least one listed discipline (VFX supervisor, rendering supervisor, DP/cinematography, colorist, director, etc.).
• University-level training in a respected film/visual effects/digital media program.
• Reliable access to a 4K-monitor for pixel-level evaluation.
• Familiarity with AI tools and the ability to generate visual samples for testing.
• Availability for up to 20 hours per week with some overlap into PST/EST.
• Fluent English with strong descriptive writing.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate high-resolution video and stills at pixel level, identifying compression artifacts, noise, aliasing, banding, grain-structure inconsistency, and over- or under-sharpening.
• Design and refine evaluation templates and rating guidelines for consistent visual-quality standards.
• Translate complex visual details into precise data captions and evaluation templates.
• Generate visual samples for testing and side-by-side comparisons.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and program leads to maintain visual consistency across sequences and reviewers.
