Job summary

Cincinnatus LLC is seeking a senior image quality evaluator to join a leading AI lab's GenAI team on a part-time W-2 basis. You will assess high-resolution video and stills at the pixel level, flagging compression artifacts and sharpening issues while ensuring consistency across sequences and reviewers.

You should have 5+ years in high-end visual evaluation across film/VFX/photography, and be fluent in English, with access to a 4K monitor and familiarity with AI testing workflows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in high-end visual evaluation across film, VFX, animation, or professional photography.
• Direct experience in disciplines such as VFX supervisor, Rendering supervisor, Lighting supervisor/artist, Colorist, DP/Cinematographer, Surfacing/Textures, High-end photography, Director or Digital projectionist.
• Training from a university program in film, VFX, or digital media.
• Reliable access to a 4K-resolution monitor for pixel-level evaluation.
• Familiarity with AI tools and workflows for generating visuals for testing.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate high-resolution video and stills at pixel level, identifying compression artifacts, noise, aliasing, banding, grain-structure issues, and sharpening problems.
• Apply meticulous attention to details and flag outputs that diverge from professional image-quality standards.
• Design and refine evaluation templates and rating guidelines to ensure consistency across reviewers and edge cases.
• Translate complex visual details into precise descriptive language for data captions and templates.
• Generate visual samples for targeted testing and side-by-side comparison.
• Collaborate with SMEs and program leads to maintain visual consistency across sequences and reviewers.
