Job summary

Bechtel India is seeking a senior Pipe Stress Engineer to plan, develop, coordinate and review plant piping work on large projects with specialized requirements. You will optimize facility layouts and ensure configurations meet client needs, technology standards, and maintenance criteria.

The role requires strong knowledge of pipe stress analysis codes, experience with stress software, and the ability to provide loading data to Civil/Structure teams, review supplier drawings, and prepare stress

Qualifications

Requires bachelor's degree and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.
Strong knowledge of industry/regulatory codes and standards and design criteria pertinent to the discipline.
Knowledge of engineering work planning, control methods and related construction practices.
12 years to 20 years of relevant Pipe Stress Sr. Engineer experience.

Responsibilities

Plan, develop, coordinate and review plant design and piping work on large projects.
Optimize facility layout based on diagrams, client needs, current technology, and maintenance requirements.
Provide pipe loading information to Civil/Structure teams.
Resolve high pipe loads on equipment nozzles and high secondary stresses in piping.
Prepare and interpretation/review of stress calculations and isometrics.
Participates in reviewing and checking designs, drawings and data from suppliers.
Experience of Combined Cycle Power Plant Piping will be an added advantage.
