Qualifications

• 15 to 20 years' industrial experience in design within chemical manufacturing environments.
• Ability to drive design processes in self-directed manner and meet project milestones.
• Proven ability to read and interpret P&IDs and engineering specifications.
• Strong knowledge of piping and mechanical systems in chemical plants.
• Good communication and negotiation skills; proactive problem-solving approach.
• Proficiency with MicroStation is a plus; familiarity with MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed safety standards and comply with company procedures.
• Read and interpret P&IDs, plant specs, and applicable codes.
• Interface with engineers and site personnel to capture design considerations.
• Guide junior designers and review piping/ mechanical designs.
• Prepare and issue construction packages for execution.
• Support field as-builts, measurements, and material take-offs.
