Job summary

KBR is seeking a Senior Piping Designer under broad direction to design, specify, and optimize piping systems for chemical and industrial projects. You will mentor junior designers and may lead smaller projects while ensuring quality and schedule adherence.

Based in the Newark, Delaware area, you will work across multi-office teams, travel to client sites as needed, and contribute to a culture focused on safety and delivery excellence.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of piping/mechanical experience in chemical and industrial settings.
• Proficiency with 3D piping software (PDMS preferred) and 2D CAD tools.
• Navisworks experience for 3D model navigation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Willingness to travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Design, specify and service piping systems and layouts, select materials, assess line classes and components.
• May lead a team of designers on multiple projects, managing budget, schedule and quality.
• Assist in piping reviews prior to IFC to ensure quality procedures.
• Review project estimates and scopes for new projects.
• May work across multiple offices.
