Job summary

KBR, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Principal Designer for CATS & SPECS Piping to develop and govern piping catalogs and specifications within AVEVA E3D or equivalent platforms.

You will lead data quality across projects, mentor designers, and ensure standards compliance for industrial, LNG, and refinery initiatives. The role requires deep expertise in piping data management, catalog administration, and cross-discipline collaboration to support engineering, procurement, and design teams throughout

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience developing and maintaining piping catalogs and specifications for industrial projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and administer piping catalogs and specifications within the project's 3D design environment.
• Coordinate with Piping Engineering, Materials Management, Procurement, and Project Design teams to ensure accurate implementation of project requirements.
• Create and maintain piping class libraries, component attributes, and reference data.
• Support setup, validation, and troubleshooting of piping specifications within E3D or equivalent 3D design systems.
• Develop and implement best practices for catalog and specification management.
• Provide technical guidance to designers and project personnel on catalog/spec development.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to piping data management and 3D design workflows.
