Job summary

Icm Inc is seeking an experienced piping design professional to provide advanced drafting and piping level design support to the Design Services team. You will also direct quality checks and coordinate with 3rd party designers on complex piping projects.

The role requires 10+ years of piping design experience, proficiency in AutoCAD 2D/3D, Cadworks, Navisworks and ReCap, and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings while mentoring junior drafters.

Qualifications

• 10+ years applicable piping design experience required.
• Proficiency test may be required as part of the interview process.
• Familiar with ASME/ASTM specifications.
• Knowledge of construction and fabrication techniques.
• Must understand use of tape measure, square, level and various layout tools.
• Capable of reading and interpreting technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned projects on-time and accurately; work independently, develop scope with input from Team Leaders and managers.
• Perform design-drafting using AutoCAD 2D and 3D drawing techniques.
• Draft plans and construction drawings for piping systems.
• Conduct field work, including walk-downs to locate tie-ins and create field sketches.
• Build equipment models based on vendor documents.
• Create Isometric drawings and Bill of Materials.
• Prepare layout, design, and 3D modeling of complex piping systems from P&IDs.
• Generate line lists and tie-in lists; participate in P&ID reviews and model reviews.
