Job summary

ICM Ventures Inc in Colwich, KS is seeking an experienced Design Services Technician to provide advanced drafting and piping design support using AutoCAD 2D/3D. The role requires collaboration with engineers and field personnel to deliver accurate drawings and models.

Responsibilities include creating isometrics, BOMs, P&ID coordination, and mentoring junior drafters while adhering to engineering standards and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Technical degree preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office and AutoCAD 2D/3D, Cadworks, Navisworks and ReCap.
• Capable of reading and interpreting technical drawings.
• Knowledge of construction and fabrication techniques preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned projects on-time and accurately; work independently, develop scope and procedures with input from Team Leaders and managers.
• Perform design-drafting using AutoCAD 2D and 3D drawing techniques.
• Draft piping layouts and construction drawings considering operation and layout of piping systems.
• Conduct field work, including walk-downs locating tie-ins and dimensioned field sketches.
• Create accurate isometrics and bill of materials documents.
• Prepare layout, design and 3D modeling of complex piping systems based on P&IDs.
• Coordinate and troubleshoot structural model with structural engineer.
• Mentor and train other designers and drafters.
• Generate line lists and tie-in lists; participate in P&ID reviews and model reviews.
