Job summary

KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) is seeking a Piping Design Lead to provide technical oversight of process and utility piping across facilities. You will coordinate design, procurement, construction, and startup activities.

The role requires 15+ years of piping engineering on large capital projects, strong knowledge of GMP and codes, and proficiency with Aveva E3D, Hexagon Smart 3D, Plant 3D, and Navisworks. Excellent leadership in global teams is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline; or 20+ years piping engineering/design experience in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in piping engineering, design, and field execution on large capital projects in regulated facilities.
• Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary piping activities through design, construction, commissioning, and startup on large EPC/EPCM/PMC projects.
• Strong knowledge of piping codes, materials, fabrication practices, and construction quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and coordination for process, clean utility, and facility piping systems across design, procurement, construction, and startup phases.
• Ensure compliance with project specs, industry standards, GMP, and codes through design reviews and field support.
• Oversee piping routing, material selection, stress, and interface management with equipment and utilities.
• Support construction, commissioning, qualification, and startup readiness by resolving piping-related issues and ensuring reliability.
