Job summary

RINA in Houston is seeking a Senior Piping Design Engineer to lead advanced piping activities for complex industrial projects. You will ensure technical excellence, safety, and regulatory compliance while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

The role requires 6–10+ years in piping design, US PE licensure, and strong experience with ASME B31 codes, CAESAR II, and 3D design tools. A Master’s degree is preferred, and prior LNG/LPG experience is a plus.

Qualifications

6–10+ years of piping design/engineering experience in industrial plants (oil & gas, power, chemical, refinery, petrochemical, LNG/LPG).
US PE licensure required; Texas PE preferred.
Strong knowledge of piping codes: ASME B31.3, B31.1, B31.12, API, ISO, PED, NFPA.

Responsibilities

Lead piping design activities for complex projects, ensuring technical quality and compliance with codes.
Define and validate plot plans, equipment and piping layouts with safety and operability in mind.
Perform/verify piping stress and flexibility analyses per applicable standards.
Review 3D models and coordinate with multidisciplinary interfaces.
Supervise piping deliverables and ensure regulatory and client specifications are met.
Provide senior technical support during construction and commissioning.
Mentor and review work of Piping Designers and Engineers.
