Job summary

Audubon Companies in Houston, TX is seeking a Senior Piping Design Specialist to lead design efforts for 3D models, piping plans, and isometrics. You will develop complete design packages, perform calculations, and produce fabrication drawings in alignment with project schedules.

The role requires extensive field experience, familiarity with AutoCAD, CADWorx, and PDMS, and the ability to work with clients and multidisciplinary teams to deliver cost-effective, compliant solutions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s Degree from a technical institution preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of technical software applied to specific discipline functions.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience is preferred.
• AutoCAD, CADWorx, PDMS software experience and training.
• Field experience required.
• Experience in offshore oil & gas, onshore gas processing, hydrocarbon storage and transportation, chemical manufacturing or refining industry required.
• Small/Medium project lead experience required.
• Large project lead experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Ability to read and understand drawing markups.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to think creatively to propose new concepts.
• Ability to make decisions to solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete design packages including calculations and construction deliverables.
• Create detailed drawings of parts and assemblies with projections and standards.
• Interpret directions to initiate preliminary designs.
• Assist with stress analysis, equipment procurement, and estimates.
• Check drawings for project applicability and accuracy.
• Prepare BOMs and procurement specifications; revise as needed.
• Implement revisions and change control.
• Assemble information from various sources and ensure compliance with standards.
• Develop design schedules with planners and project management.
• Ensure HSSE compliance and industry standards in all deliverables.
• Interact with clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
