Job summary

Kennedy Jenks is seeking an experienced Pipeline Engineer for our Oregon and Washington offices to support water and wastewater projects from planning through construction. You’ll contribute to evaluation, design, and construction of conveyance facilities and serve as a technical resource on multidisciplinary teams.

The role emphasizes design, hydraulic analysis, construction support, and client service with a focus on sustainable infrastructure and collaboration within a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental, mechanical engineering or similar.
• Master’s degree preferred for advanced roles or specialization.
• 10+ years of pipeline engineering experience in design, analysis, and construction support.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in CA, OR, and/or WA preferred or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Experience with pipeline design software and hydraulic modeling tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to pipeline design and analysis for water and wastewater projects.
• Provide construction-phase engineering support and review submittals.
• Prepare designs, specifications and drawings for complex pipeline projects.
• Evaluate existing systems and support rehabilitation or replacement decisions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior staff.
• Support quality control and client service throughout projects.
