Job summary

Gulf Companies seeks an experienced coatings inspector to support oil and gas projects in the Wisconsin region. You will inspect coating applications on pipelines and facilities, document material usage, and verify compliance with contract specifications and regulatory standards.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in oil and gas construction/inspection, strong communication, and a track record of delivering quality client service on multi-project sites.

Qualifications

• 5+ years oil and gas construction/inspection experience.
• 3+ years in pipeline/construction incl. surface prep and coating.
• 1+ year inspecting surfaces and coatings per company specs/regulations.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Effective client communication with supervisors and clients.
• Deliver excellent client service and adhere to client requirements.
• Strong listening and interpersonal skills.
• Decision making and problem solving capabilities.
• Responsive to client concerns and ability to recommend actions.

Responsibilities

• Inspects and oversees contractor’s coating work on pipelines and facilities to ensure conformance to specs and standards.
• Documents inspections, contractor efforts, and materials used on the project.
• Verifies coating work complies with specifications, plans and codes.
• Observes procedures, ensures materials meet specs, and notes deviations with contractors.
• Maintains daily construction and inspection logs and prepares progress reports.
• Monitors coating material quantities and records consumption.
