Job summary

Colorado Mechanical Systems LLC. (CMS) is seeking skilled pipefitters for mechanical/plumbing installation, repair and renovation projects in Colorado.

You will review plans, plan layouts, install and repair piping systems to codes and industry standards, and work with CAD documents. Candidates should have at least 4 years of pipefitting experience, be proficient in welding, read orthographic and isometric drawings, and follow safety protocols including lockout/tag-out.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum four years of pipefitting experience.
• Steamfitters license is a plus, not required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the job site manager to configure piping layouts.
• Plan, lay out, install and/or repair piping systems per plans and specs.
• Apply industry-standard pipe fitting techniques for butt weld, socket weld, threaded, grooved, etc.
• Follow lockout/tag-out procedures for safety.
• Read orthographic and isometric drawings and visualize 3D layouts.
• Prepare surfaces for welding, ensuring cleanliness.
• Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions and inspect welds.
• Assemble parts to required configurations and adjust gas flow and pressure.
• Monitor welding to prevent overheating and distortion.
• Develop templates/models for welding projects from blueprints.
