Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced pipefitter to assemble, install, and maintain commercial building piping systems. You will read blueprints, weld in all positions, and work with copper, cast iron, PVC, and PEX pipes.

The role requires strong technical skills, forklift? not needed here; you will ensure leak tests, perform routine maintenance, and collaborate with the construction team to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent; vocational/tech degree preferred.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints.
• Welding proficiency in all positions (standing, kneeling, etc.).
• Experience with sweating and brazing and using roll groove machines.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints for project requirements.
• Build and install piping systems per blueprints.
• Measure, cut, groove, thread, weld, and join pipes (copper, cast iron, PVC, PEX).
• Use roll groove machine and pipe-bending tools to shape pipes.
• Test piping systems for leaks by increasing pressure and inspecting gauges.
• Solder, sweat, and braze as required to ensure leak-free joints.
• Perform regular maintenance on pipe systems to ensure longevity.
• Collaborate with the construction team to meet timelines and budgets.
