Job summary

RK Industries is seeking a Pipe Systems Design Lead to transform contract drawings into detailed Revit and BIM models, driving prefabrication, quality, and efficiency. You’ll collaborate closely with field managers and fabrication teams to review design intent and constructability, implementing QC on shop drawings and championing best practices from the field to the model.

Work with Preconstruction Team to optimize practices, mentor staff, and advance projects before spooling for fabrication,

Qualifications

• 5+ years Pipefitting or piping/hydronics experience preferred.
• Degree preferred with 5 years relevant experience or equivalent.
• Ability to convey design/means and methods clearly.
• Independent decision-making in complex environments.
• Strong presentation, time management and planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction to department to achieve high quality and productivity.
• Review design intent and constructability prior to VDC/BIM Kick-off.
• Mentor staff on means and methods and train on trade practices.
• Facilitate improvements through team involvement and training.
• Review shop operations for best practices and workflow.
• Quality control reviews of VDC/BIM drawings and fabrication drawings.
