Job summary

Georgia Aquarium is seeking a Senior Trainer - Pinnipeds in the Sea Lion Training department. You will lead the execution of animal training, daily shows, and guest interaction programs while mentoring staff and volunteers.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in biology or related field; experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Strong team skills and professional performance in a team environment.
• Proficiency with PC hardware and Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily care and behavioral conditioning of pinnipeds.
• Coordinate daily and long-term training goals, enrichment, and show quality.
• Develop and implement training projects to enhance animal care and guest experience.
• Mentor junior staff, volunteers, interns, and trainees.
• Perform daily pinniped show performances with high showmanship.
• Maintain health, welfare, and cleanliness of pinniped facilities.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs and safety standards.
