Job summary

Veterans Health Administration in Minneapolis seeks an EOH Section Chief (AMO) to lead occupational health decisions, ensure resources, and promote a safe workforce. The role emphasizes clinical leadership, policy implementation, and collaboration with multiple departments.

The position requires an MD, full US license, and board-eligible certification; MRO certification is preferred. Occasional travel to VA sites and possible telework may be available under the VA Total Rewards program.

Qualifications

• Must meet basic medical licensure requirements in the United States
• Residency training approved by ACGME/AOA or equivalent
• Board eligibility or certification preferred for faculty status

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical services focusing on pre-placement and agency exams
• Supervise EOH providers and manage staff/resources
• Perform fitness-for-duty evaluations and return-to-work decisions
• Coordinate with Workman's Compensation and safety departments
• Maintain infection control and occupational health surveillance practices
• Assist in health promotion and prevention programs
• Occasionally telework may be possible and travel to Minneapolis VA sites may be required
