Job summary

Keck Medicine of USC is seeking a Physician Assistant II to lead and coordinate patient care within our clinical team in Los Angeles. The PA will conduct comprehensive histories and physicals, develop care plans, and collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and staff to deliver high-quality care.

The role requires 3+ years of PA experience, strong communication and organizational skills, and compliance with licensure and certification requirements (CA PA, BLS, ACLS, NCCPA, and DEA).

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant Program.
• 3+ years of experience as a PA.
• Committed to excellence in patient care and customer service.
• Demonstrates ability to effectively work with physicians, staff, and patients.
• Strong organization/time management skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, planning and evaluation skills.
• Licensure/certification requirements include CA PA license, BLS, ACLS, NCCPA, and DEA certificate.

Responsibilities

• Obtain detailed medical histories and perform focused physical exams.
• Develop and implement patient management plans and coordinate referrals.
• Order and interpret labs, imaging, and routine diagnostics.
• Provide patient counseling on preventive care and treatment plans.
• Mentor or precept new PAs and participate in quality initiatives.
• Lead care coordination within the team to ensure continuity of care.
• Document patient findings and outcomes and ensure billing accuracy.
