Job summary

Sentara Healthcare Inc is seeking a Physical Therapist to assess, plan, organize, and participate in rehabilitative programs that improve functional mobility, relieve pain, and address disabling conditions from disease or injury.

You will provide age-appropriate education for clients and caregivers, supervise and collaborate with identified team members to improve patient outcomes. This on-site role requires licensure and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy in Virginia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Doctorate in Physical Therapy required.
• Physical Therapy license required.

Responsibilities

• Performs modalities/therapeutic interventions per standards of care and department policies.
• Provides effective instruction to patient and family through standardized educational programs and/or individualized training.
• Initiate, develop, and maintain collaborative interactions with internal and external team members, patients, and family members to improve patient outcomes.
• Productive and efficient in daily operations.
• Selects and performs the appropriate assessment procedures.
• Establishes and updates formal plan of care to address individual patient needs.
