Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist.
  • PT degree (Bachelor/Master/Doctoral) with licensure or foreign-trained equivalent.
  • California PT license required at hire and valid NPI.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local requirements.
  • Ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provides physical therapy services under the direction and supervision of leadership.
  • Provides department in-service as requested (e.g., journal club presentations).
  • Serves as a clinical instructor as requested by management.
  • Assists in orientation and training of employees as needed.
  • Provides consultation to staff.
  • May mentor staff and contribute to clinical competency.
  • Identifies process improvement opportunities and contributes to new care delivery models.
  • Participates in performance improvement projects or committees as requested.
  • May supervise PTAs and Rehab Aides in clinical competency.
  • Monitors work of contract therapists and patient care at Kaiser and non-Kaiser facilities.
  • Performs other duties within scope of practice.

Job Summary

Provides physical therapy services for patients under the direction and supervision of the Director, Assistant Director, and or Clinical Supervisor or designee.


Essential Responsibilities


  • Assumes the responsibility as outlined in the Physical Therapists job summary and responsibilities.

  • Provides department in-service as requested by management (e.g., journal club presentation, and or regular in-service presentation).

  • Serves as a clinical instructor as requested by management.

  • Assists in orientation and training of employees as needed.

  • Provides consultation to staff.

  • May act as a mentor for staff.

  • May provide input into the clinical competency of staff.

  • Identifies process Improvement opportunities.

  • May assist in the development and implementation of new clinical practice models for the delivery of care.

  • Participates in performance improvement projects or other committees as requested by management.

  • May be involved in the clinical competency of PTAs and Rehab Aides.

  • May monitor the work of contract therapists and the treatment of patients in Kaiser and non-Kaiser facilities

  • Performs other duties as required within scope of practice.


Basic Qualifications

Experience


  • Minimum of (2) years experience as a Physical Therapist.


Education


  • Graduate of an accredited physical therapy curriculum with a Bachelor or Master or Doctoral degree with certification in physical therapy or foreign trained equivalent.


License, Certification, Registration


  • Physical Therapist License (California) required at hire

  • National Provider Identifier required at hire

  • Basic Life Support


Additional Requirements


  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local requirements

  • Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.


Preferred Qualifications


  • APTA Certified Clinical Instructor preferred
