Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in San Francisco seeks a Physical Therapist to provide PT services under the direction of the Director, Assistant Director, or Clinical Supervisor. You will support department education and act as a clinical instructor as needed.

Responsibilities include mentoring staff, contributing to clinical competency, and participating in performance improvement initiatives while delivering high-quality patient care in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited physical therapy curriculum with a Bachelor, Master, or Doctoral degree.
  • Certification in physical therapy or foreign-trained equivalent.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain California Physical Therapist license.
  • National Provider Identifier required at hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.

  • Serves as a clinical instructor as requested by management.
  • Assists in orientation and training of employees as needed.

  • May act as a mentor for staff.
  • May provide input into the clinical competency of staff.
  • Identifies process improvement opportunities.
  • May assist in development and implementation of new clinical practice models for the delivery of care.
  • Participates in performance improvement projects or other committees as requested by management.
  • May be involved in the clinical competency of PTAs and Rehab Aides.
  • May monitor the work of contract therapists and the treatment of patients in Kaiser and non-Kaiser facilities
  • Performs other duties as required within scope of practice.

Basic Qualifications

Experience


  • Minimum of (2) years experience as a Physical Therapist.


Education


  • Graduate of an accredited physical therapy curriculum with a Bachelor or Master or Doctoral degree with certification in physical therapy or foreign trained equivalent.


License, Certification, Registration


  • Physical Therapist License (California) required at hire

  • National Provider Identifier required at hire

  • Basic Life Support

Preferred Qualifications


  • APTA Certified Clinical Instructor preferred
