Cleveland Clinic Euclid Hospital in Cleveland, OH, invites you to join a team delivering orthopedic outpatient care. The Senior Physical Therapist will plan, administer, and oversee physical therapy programs designed to relieve pain and restore function for an orthopedic patient population.

You will supervise PTA's, ATC's, Rehab Aides, students and support staff, uphold American Physical Therapy Association standards, and require a Bachelor's degree, PT license in Ohio, and BLS certification;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree. Graduate of an approved school of physical therapy
• Current State license as Physical Therapist (PT)
• Current certification for Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross

• Maintains standards of care as set by the American Physical Therapy Association regarding procedures and professional ethics.
• Plans, administers, and oversees physical therapy programs designed to relieve pain, restore or enhance function, and prevent disability in outpatient orthopedics.

The Senior Physical Therapist – Outpatient, Orthopedics plans, administers, and oversees physical therapy programs designed to relieve pain, restore or enhance function, and prevent disability following injury or disease. This caregiver will primarily treat an orthopedic patient population, providing individualized care focused on helping patients improve mobility, strength, function, and overall quality of life.

A caregiver in this position will work 8:00am to 5:00pm or 10:00am to 6:30pm with 2 late days per week. A Saturday morning rotation is also required 2-3 times per year from 8:00am to 12:00pm.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Supervises PTA'S, ATC'S, Rehab Aides, Secretarial support, Students, Volunteers and designates duties to the Team in accordance with State of Ohio guidelines.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Bachelor's Degree. Graduate of an approved school of physical therapy
• Current State license as Physical Therapist (PT)
• Current certification for Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• 1 years of experience preferred
• Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS)
• Outpatient orthopedic experience
• Prior experience with EPIC
• Prior experience managing Physical Therapy students

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to walk and climb stairs without assistive device and to maintain balance despite sudden load in order to support patient from falling.
• Ability to meet physical demands characterized at the heavy level defined by 1993 Leonard Matheson and Ministry of Labor.
• Ability to lift and reach with arms sufficiently to lift patient's arm and leg during therapeutic treatment program.
• Sensation of touch and manual dexterity to be able to palpate muscle tension or to monitor patient pulse.
• Visual acuity to observe patient's gross and fine motor movements in order to analyze these movements and to read all patient monitors.
• Ability to speak clearly enough to instruct patients and families.
• Ability to hear at a conversational level to understand patient's description of symptoms and response to treatment.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range

Minimum Annual Salary: $76,540.00

Maximum Annual Salary: $116,747.50
