Job summary

Alameda Health System is seeking a SLH Senior Physical Therapist to evaluate, treat, and supervise a small team of PTs and students. The role emphasizes collaboration with physicians and nurses and requires effective communication for discharge planning and patient education.

Responsibilities include developing treatment plans, coordinating schedules, and ensuring accurate documentation in the electronic health record.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved school of Physical Therapy.
• Minimum one year of experience as a Physical Therapist at Alameda Health System; OR three to five years in related clinical settings.
• Current Licensure with the California Board of Physical Therapy as a Physical Therapist.
• BLS – Basic Life Support Certification from American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat a broad spectrum of patients under limited supervision.
• Supervise a small group of PTs, assistants, aides, and/or students when needed.
• Develop and implement treatment plans using PT procedures and equipment.
• Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately.
