Job summary

Houston Methodist seeks a Part Time Physical Therapist II to evaluate and develop therapy plans for a broad range of diagnoses at the Main Campus. The role requires advanced training, serving as a resource and preceptor for staff, students, and fellows, and contributing to quality metrics.

The successful candidate will provide direct patient care, advance safety and outcomes, and collaborate with physicians and the care team to meet patient goals.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a Physical Therapist; or completion of HM or comparable Physical Therapy Residency program.
• Graduate of education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s) indicated.
• BLS certification and Texas PT license required (compact license acceptable per ECPTOTE requirements).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and develop the therapy plan of care for a broad range of diagnoses and acuities.
• Educate patients, family members, and caregivers, and collaborate with interprofessional team.
• Serve as preceptor, mentor, and clinical resource to staff, students, and fellows.
• Assist with collection of quality metrics and analytics, and participate in process improvement.
